JP Melendres, also known as (J)POPE, JPOPE The Giver and formerly known as Deuce Luv and DJ Pope, has been recognized for his unique ability to create innovative mixes and quality entertainment in front of headliners such as 112, Slum Village, and Dead Presidents, at bars & nightclubs throughout the Bay Area, weddings, corporate parties, and more! With over 14 years of experience as a DJ and Mixtape Pioneer in the entertainment industry, his skills are unparalleled to the industrial standard DJ.
(J)POPE began his career in entertainment in San Leandro, CA after heavy influences from prolific DJs and groups such as Triple Threat DJs, The Invisibl Skratch Piklz, The Executioners, DJ Premier, and Mix Master Mike. His passion for music has led him to plenty of customers and clients interested in his prestigious development of mixes as well as services such as live mixing, emceeing, and producing music.
(J)POPE has always been looking for a way to challenge his abilities and has competed in online DJ competitions and live DJ Battles, locally and internationally. His most recent accomplishment was winning 1st place in a live scratch battle hosted by the International DJ Icon, DJ Q-bert at Thud Rumble headquarters. Today, he continues on his conquest to become one of the most impeccable mobile DJ, scratch artist, and musician for future generations.
